Thermal conductivity of CNTs-based nanocomposite reinforced by mesophase pitch

ABSTRACT  

 Nanocomposites based on carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been successfully fabricated via mesophase pitch solution melting into CNTs sheet. CNTs-based nanocomposites are characterized by SEM, Raman and thermal Analyzer. The results reveal that CNTs in nanocomposites linked each other by pitch carbon and form into CNTs networks. Raman spectra prove that the microstructure and crystallization of CNTs-based nanocomposites appear to be improved by changing carbonization temperature from 400℃ to 800℃. The results proved that the thermal conductivities of CNTs-based nanocomposites are directly affected by carbonization temperature after pitch compounded with CNTs sheet.
